Tena koutou tena koutou tena koutou katoa

We have had a warm start to the year and the warm weather continues to be with us.
The senior team took advantage of the good weather to hold their swimming sports yesterday. It was great to see so many children giving it a go and enjoying themselves.
The children swam for house points, which resulted in the following places:
First – Kowhai    Second  – Titoki    Third – Rimu    Fourth – Pohutukawa
Well done senior team for such an enjoyable and well organised day.

Just a reminder that we have an opportunity for whanau to meet their children’s teachers in a fun, informal way at our Whanau Have a Go Evening from 5.30-7.00pm tonight.
We look forward to seeing you later this evening.

“Hot Lunches in Schools” Project/Mitigate Climate Change Project/request for volunteers

Dear Parents/Care-givers. As part of our charity’s pilot of a unique fundraising strategy, to help social and environment issues, we seek the help of volunteers, to give 1-3 hours of their time to help hand-deliver letters to businesses in Whangarei’s business district. Funds raised through this strategy will provide free hot lunches for children, who regularly turn up to school without lunch. Funds will also be donated to on-the-ground operations currently underway to help mitigate climate change here in Whangarei.
Please volunteer your time and be part of a collective effort that will positively impact in our local community. To volunteer and request additional information please email – or text angela on 021 02832864. Thank you.
