Tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou katoa,

Last week we hosted the annual IHAD (I Have a Dream) Open Day.
The visitors to our school were very impressed with the children and how they interacted with each other. Our kapahaka group supported with waiata and were the stars of the show. Their performance made us proud – they have really developed as a performing roopu.

Congratulations to our Kaiawhina Whaea Ana and her whanau who welcomed a baby boy, Oliver, into their whanau last week. We look forward to meeting him in the near future.

Mrs Wolfgram has been seconded to work for Evaluation Associates as a leadership Advisor for 2021 so Whaea Donna and Whaea Ness will continue to lead the school in her absence. This is a great opportunity for Mrs Wolfgram to share her knowledge and expertise with other Principals around Northland.

Below are the Health and Physical Education Survey results from the end of term 3.

As you can see from the data mental health/resilience, body care and physical safety and physical activity continue to be the top 3 voted most important in our kura.
We will use this information to assist us when planning health and physical activity opportunities.

Breakfast Club

Just a reminder that breakfast Club does not start until 7:45am so children should not be at school before this time.

Sensory Room

We have an exciting new addition to our therapeutic provision for children. We have developed a sensory room which can be used as a relaxing calming space for our children to go to when they are feeling overwhelmed or over-stimulated through the day. Here the child can unwind and recenter themselves so that they are better able to cope with their day ahead.
