Tena koutou tena koutou tena koutou katoa
Welcome back to term 3.
We have a few new staff members joining our team this term.
Mrs Lindsey Wyeth is working 3 days per week in Te Kakano with Whaea Laura.
Mrs Khinhtay-yee Matete joins us as part of the I Have A Dream team as a Year 1 and 2 Navigator.
This term our focus is on Ako – learning about learning. We will be encouraging students to talk about their learning and will be working on skills in order for students to be able to :
- describe what I am learning and why I am learning it
- know how to include the big ideas in my work and I can show where I have used them
- use exemplars and models in a group or independently to improve the quality of my work
- be comfortable to try new things
We are all learners – we are all teachers
Next week is our Matariki Festival – School will finish at 2:00 on Thursday.
