The governance of the school is entrusted to the Board of Trustees. The board consists of five members who are elected representatives of the parents, one member who is the elected representative of the staff and the Principal who is automatically a member of the Board of Trustees. The Board has also co-opted Hepi Haika as our Kaumatua and Jill Christie as Board Secretary. The Board of Trustees assumes responsibility for governance of curriculum, personnel, finances, property, policy, school charter and setting the direction for our school. As well as general duties each Board member is involved in sub-committees as required.
Our Board meets twice per term on the second Tuesday of the month at 6pm in the staffroom. These meetings are open to the public and are notified in the school newsletter. If you wish to see the minutes of a meeting these are available from the office one week prior to the next meeting.
