I hope everyone is doing well. We still have a lot of new families arriving at our kura so a very warm welcome to you all. Our tamariki have settled nicely into Term 3 and it is great to see all of the wonderful learning going on in our classrooms. This term our focus is how technology changes lives and already there are some excellent thought provoking discussions happening around this.
The Olympic Games in Paris has been a real talking point amongst staff and students too. The Opening Ceremony was certainly very creative and different this year and really showcased the culture and highlights of Paris. I always like watching our athletes in action, though the time difference between New Zealand and Paris makes it a bit challenging to see things live. It is awesome to see our New Zealand athletes participating with such enthusiasm and determination in their events. Although we are not at the top of the table for the amount of medals won, when it comes to the per capita medal table we are near the top so well done to us!
I am looking forward to watching the Paralympics which will follow these games. I always have such admiration for the Paralympic athletes and the adversities they sometimes have to overcome to compete in their chosen fields.
Have a fantastic week everyone.
