Whānau Korero

All Day

A korero with your child’s teacher to talk about goals and aspirations for your child. These are held in the classroom with the teacher. Bookings go live at 2.30pm on Friday 21st Feb on the SKOOL LOOP App – 15 min time slots.

Wednesday 12 March 1:30pm – 6pm (Early school finish at 1pm ) Lunches still provided.
Thursday 13 March, 3:30pm – 6pm. (Finish at normal time 3pm)

As teachers will be busy with their whānau appointments on the Wednesday, there will be no normal classroom programmes from 1pm. However, we will be able to supervise some children in the hall till 3pm if needed. Kidzones afterschool care will be running at their usual times.

Join Girls’ Brigade

Girls’ Brigade invites you to join a fun, inclusive group for girls and young women aged 5 to 18 years, who want to make the most out of life. Joining a Girls’ Brigade company is a great way for girls to make new friends and enjoy activities that challenge and nurture their growth in a safe and supportive environment.
 
There are two Girls’ Brigade Companies in Whangarei, meeting on Thursday nights.
1st Kamo Company: meets from 6.00 - 7.30pm at St John’s Golden Church,149 Kamo Road, Kensington, contact Kerry 02102304000 First night 20 February

Children’s Day - Te Rā o Ngā Tamariki is a FREE event held on Sunday 2nd March 2025 from 10am- 1pm. Bring the whānau to join in the fun at Te Ora Hou - 104 Corks Road, Tikipunga.
 
A completely FREE and fun-filled annual event celebrating tamariki. 
Music, activities, food, local performances, games and more!
 
Bring your togs and a towel for even more fun on the GIANT slippery slide!
 
A wide range of organisations across our community, together acknowledging the importance of safeguarding our children and putting their needs first.
So, whether you are a parent, guardian, whānau member, educator or other member of our community, we welcome you to join us in celebrating our tamariki this Children’s Day.
 
FREE buses will be running on the day.
Servicing Otaika, Onerahi, Morningside, Tikipunga, Maunu, Horahora, Kensington, Whau Valley, Kamo, Raumanga and Otangarei. 
 
Be sure to check out our bus time table for your pick up and drop off time. 
ALL busses leave Children's Day at 1pm.
